philosophy is simple
and emanates from the “GREEN” rule:
Treat others the
way you would like to be treated yourself!
To do this, we need to develop our emotional
awareness. We need to recognise what we are feeling,
and understand the links between our feelings and
what we think, do and say. We need to understand
that how we feel affects our performance and our
reactions. We need to be aware of our strengths and
weaknesses; be reflective and value our experiences;
and be open to honest feedback and continuous
learning.
The FROG philosophy encourages everyone to:
|
|
strive to
recognise and manage feelings (their own and
other people’s) because how we feel
determines our performance and our reactions |
|
|
understand
that building positive and supportive
relationships is key to how well we get on
in life |
|
|
take ownership and
responsibility for their actions and
decisions, and not to try to blame others
when things don’t quite happen as hoped |
|
|
understand that giving and
showing gratitude is fundamental; and that
to give their best at all times, and ask,
"how can I help?" rather than "what’s in it
for me?" is much more rewarding |
Like most things that
are successful, The Frog Factor is a simple idea. It
evolved initially from a passion to give every
member of our school community a chance, but was
soon recognised as a philosophy that could be
applied to most aspects of our everyday lives!
