FROG didn’t happen
overnight - it slowly evolved over a period of ten
years in order to help us meet a growing number of
social challenges and collective needs. FROG was
hatched from an eclectic of lots of ideas and
approaches that were combined as a response to our
specific needs. As typical in many schools and
businesses, building stability and resilience is a
key factor in gaining success, and often very
difficult to achieve. Building the ‘team’, sharing
the vision, and promoting the philosophy are common
goals for leaders and managers everywhere, but how
successful we are in attaining these goals can
depend very much on our approach and attitudes.
This simple approach and attitude is easily
remembered with FROG...

In our experience it
has always been the ‘human’ approach that makes the
difference. Those social and emotional aspects of
our very beings, that enable us to laugh, cry, feel
joy and anger - comfort and support one another,
inspire and encourage one another, in fact all those
things that make life worth living! In any community
where it’s difficult to achieve success against the
odds, it quickly becomes apparent that working
together in true team spirit, is essential. It is,
of course essential for all of us, but some
situations help you to realise this more quickly
than others. Our philosophy and ethos had to be
primarily about how we were feeling, how we related
to each other, our ability to take responsibility
for our own actions and feel true ownership, and
about giving something back. FROG!
